Spring may almost be here, but while we wait for the warmer weather, many are still jetting off for vacation.  When I’m away, I envision carefree, lazy days in the sun – however, in dressing for these types of trips, I’d like to accomplish a combo of that mentality: carefree style without looking lazy.  Enter this RaMona LaRue ensemble.  Only three pieces, yet completely stylish.

Wearing low cut tops can be difficult, so a bodysuit is a great alternative as they hold the neckline in place.  A loose maxi skirt is ideal for covering the shorts aspect of this, concealing any sign that you’re wearing a one-piece.  The Chrissie Bodysuit has a halter tie for an open back and, along with its white fabric, is perfect for vacation.  The Zoe Maxi skirt has an eye-catching print that is bright and bold, which is perfect for vacation as well, but also evens out the skin-revealing bodysuit.  Add a belt to tie it all together.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! In less than a week, people everywhere will be celebrating their feelings of love and affection. Whether you’ll be with a significant other, friends, or family, we’ve got the perfect outfit for whatever the occasion. Cocktail dresses are among the most popular requests Lonnys receives, so I’ve decided to compile my favorite styles.

This Blaque Label dress has an eye-catching hemline that is shortened in the front and gradually lengthens to the back.  With a flowing pleated chiffon-like texture over a satin bodice, this piece is daring and sweet at the same time; a light pink hue is not only flattering on all skin types, but definitely V-day reminiscent.  Wear with a belt for added curves and glam, or solo for a carefree, whimsical look.

The best pieces to invest in are the kinds you can wear repeatedly and refreshingly.  A prime example of such is this Alternative Apparel maxi dress.  With a racerback and straight silhouette, this dress is casual, and with a grey color, versatile.  Already sold?  Well, it gets even better: at $64.00, it’s also totally affordable!  Olivia Wilde is a fan of the darker slate color, and has demonstrated perfectly how to continuously look unique.  Let’s break down these outfits, and the 3 ways to wear it.

Olivia transformed her dress into a maxi skirt for the day, layering a black tee over her bodice; the rounded hemline is similar to the Alternative Apparel Araby Top, which is also crafted in a super-soft and silky finish.  For a cooler day, topping an outfit with a jean jacket is always an easy and on-trend way to stay comfortable.  The Fidelity Super Vintage Ryder Jacket, available for pre-order, completes the look the same way Olivia’s  own denim does.

Another great display of layering, this look also gives off a skirted appearance, with a matching light grey pull-over.  The Lilla P Cotton Cashmere Long Sleeve Crew Neck has a similar tone to the one pictured.  A crossbody adds to the effortless style of this look; the Linnea Pelle Bo Fringe Bag gives off the same carefree vibe.

Awards season is officially upon us with Sunday’s airing of the Golden Globes, and I love using the red carpet looks as a peek forward to expected styles.   Here are some of my favorite and most distinct themes:

A nude color scheme was the most reoccurring trend on this year’s red carpet, with stars opting for flesh tones in various silhouettes and textures.   While demure and classy, this hue is also sultry in its own right, with a skin-mimic that is slightly suggestive without losing an elegant appearance.

Two of Hollywood’s top actresses Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman created a coordinating palate of red and pink from their handbags to necklines.   Subtle accent colors are brought to life with their matching accessories, and these two leading ladies displayed the best way to do so.

Fishtail hemlines create envious curves with their flowing shapes, showing off in all the right places.   Strapless necklines allow for the best transition of fit.  As you can see, this silhouette is versatile in that it works in almost all colors and fabrics as long as they are kept simple – patterned fabric would be too chaotic and confusing.
